95 Points & Gold Medal at the Decanter World Wine Awards, the Santa Isle Grand Reserve 2018 is an amazing blend of Carmenere and Cabernet Sauvignon from high elevation vineyards in Chile's famed Maule Valley. The flagship wine of Chile in the same way Malbec is for Argentina, Carmenere is relatively unknow because the best expressions are usually labeled as something else. Montes Purple Angel, Errazuriz Kai, and former Wine Spectator Wine of the Year Casa Lapostolle Clos Apalta. 2018 is widely considered to be the best vintage in the last 20 years. Santa Isle's dark, rich fruit is complemented by eight months in French oak. Juicy, full-bodied and concentrated with plush tannins and a long, lingering finish.
