Who doesn't love a great value Cabernet Sauvignon, especially this time of year! Winemaker Meinard Bloem has created a dark, opulent expression of Cabernet Sauvignon with well integrated oak, elegant tannins and a long, textured finish. Sourced from 100 year-old head pruned vineyards in Chile's Rapel Valley, this is incredible Cabernet for the price. Brilliant ruby with spice-laced aromas of cherry, blackcurrant and lavender, becoming smokier and spicier with aeration and finishes juicy and precise. Aged for 10 months in French oak barrels before release, you rarely find the combination of old vines and oak aging in a $10 wine. Food & Wine Magazine Top 10 Value, James Suckling has compared this Cabernet Sauvignon to a top flight Napa red.
"This is like a top Napa cabernet with full body, dusty tannins plus chocolate, bark, and black currant. Very long and rich. Racy and beautiful. Will age beautifully." The Wine Buyer, 92 Points
