Our #1 selling organic Malbec, high elevation vineyards in famed Mendoza craft this amazing full-bodied red from a breathtaking estate in Maipu. The higher the elevation, the more direct and concentrated sunlight, less water, and more dramatic temperature shifts. These vines produce fewer, yet more concentrated berries, which in turn produces better wines. So many famous wineries in Argentina focuses on high elevation vineyards, as they found that when high altitude Malbec receives such direct sunlight, it creates a thick, tough skin which allows the grapes to achieve excellent fruit and tannin concentration, which is responsible for the wine's structure. This reserve red is aged 12 months in new French oak, loaded with jammy cassis and blueberry flavors, woven together with layers of floral and cedar notes.
